The Artist
I'm Tori. I love art.
I studied fine art at Brigham Young University-Idaho and learned a lot. However, I started to really love painting after college when I began to
explore the arts without any rules or assignments. It really helped
my mental health to just explore the arts.
I learned different techniques and styles. Watched countless
YouTube videos. Practiced, a lot. I started to see the world through
a different lens, a more freeing and colorful lens.
I can talk for a long time about Color Theory and how to properly use it to paint the the world around us. It's so much fun.
I spent so many years stressing over the minute details of my pieces. Then when I shifted to Impressionism, I found it so liberating, it has
become one of my favorite styles of fine art.
I love creating pieces that are sentimental to me. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City so a lot of my pieces are of special buildings and places from there. If I can strike a sentimental chord in my viewers and clients I am happy.
I love a challenge and I hardly ever say no to a project because of its difficulty, instead I learn how to accomplish it. And it feels amazing!
A few artistic goals of mine:
-Exterior Brick Mural
-Interior Mural
-Interior chalkboard menu for a restaurant
-Salt Lake City Arts Festival (one of these years I'm going to get accepted!)
